If we're talking about "average" sexual encounters, then everyone on here who talks about going on for hours is a liar. I suppose it depends on how you define sex. Foreplay then intercourse can and should go on for hours. I have always considered intercourse sort of the desert. The main course (foreplay) should be enjoyed for as long as you can and really shouldn't stop when intercourse begins. You can still caress, kiss, fondle (that's one of the reasons I like dogstyle so much, your hands are free). Intercourse should go on until both have orgasms and then in an ideal world back to foreplay.
