Is there a yellow sub marine there too spunky?
I feel sorry for you. In truth. I know all this you are saying.
I have been lucky to be self employed all my life.

My worst job ever, with hindsight, was one that I stayed for 5 years. Working for that company was a walk on the park. Used to complete my job for the day at about mid day, and go home, on a company van, with a tracker on it! The next day, as long as yesterdays job was completed, no one would bat an eye lid, wages would keep rolling in my account every Friday and all was good!
Compacency, the worse enemy of self employed peeps. Company was like the one you describe, thinking they were the sole employers in the whole world, etc, etc. And looking back on it, my worse job ever.

Best job, in financial terms, doing a Mc Donalds restaurant last May, 12 hour shifts night time at double bubble, for 30 days for a 5 digit figure, shared between two of us.

Best in fun terms, when young, I would be night time receptionist on a beach side hotel and finish at 06.00 in the morning. At 10.00 I was already under the beach umbrella, hiring out, what else? 5 canoes! The FUN bit was the location, MYCONOS!!!!!!
PS: Please try and look around for a new employer, before you end up in prison, for smashing a manager. Good luck, P.

my best job was when I ran a holistic health center for people with HIV. it was the most serene and loving place I ever worked. and the work itself was healing. I left because I needed more money but I should have stayed and got another part time job. I was really happy there.

my worst job was my first job, I filled donuts with jam from 3AM to 9AM at a trucker's diner/donut shop. and the manager was handsy. I told his wife finally and she fired me. it was a relief. by the end, I was overfilling the donuts so if you even picked them up they'd explode on you.......snork. not all of them...just random. bwahaha

You cannot conceive the many without the one.

Yep. "Blah!"

I've been at my job for about 10 years. .. I have great seniority, but it counts for nothing. .. I've had my eyes open for something different for a while now, but don't expect anything to pop up anytime soon. .. So I'm hoping for the unexpected.

I have a lot of freedom, but also set deadlines to meet. I try to stay under management's radar.

My worst jobs probably involved concrete. Or digging. Or both.

Read my diary Journal of a Taxi Driver for taxi stories and pictures of flowers and trees.

I wondered why you were quiet lately.
I was in the printing trade for 25 years and I went straight into a 5-year apprenticeship after I left collage at 17.
It was hard work and this was before it all got technical. I didn't enjoy the job so much after 'the change'.

Take your time as you don't get paid to comment....at least on my blog!

What’s been your best and worst job you’ve done?

Worst was I worked of a company that made makeup type products for the film industry. The owner was a real head case (paranoid, micro manager, etc.) and he killed the morale of the employees daily. I've worked for several people who have had more money that brains (or experience) - they suck. I was also in the timeshare (crime share) business to.

I would have to think about my best.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

What’s been your best and worst job you’ve done?

I can't say as I've had best or worst jobs so much as best and worst employers or bosses. The work never bothered me but an asshole for a boss could make the job unpleasant.

The only thing I would say is if you are thinking of leaving your job you should find a new one first as reliable jobs can be hard to find but not having a job at all is expensive in many ways. There are always chains comrade it's a matter of how heavy they are!

Mon pire travail: à 17 ans à l'usine derrière ma machine outil
Comme l'a écrit Paul Lafargue le gendre de Karl Marx, je revendique mon " Droit à la paresse"
♥ Poton ♥ Bisou ♥ Annie ♥

My worst job: at 17 years at the factory behind my machine tool
As wrote Paul Lafargue the son-in-law of Karl Marx, I claim my "Right to laziness"
♥ Kiss ♥ Annie ♥

What’s been your best job you’ve done? Working for LEADERS while in the US Air Force. Being a LEADER and working for LEADERS makes work more satisfying

worst job you’ve done? After I retired, I worked for a corporation. It had MANAGERS. My opinion is you Manage things and lead people. I was at constant "logger heads" with them since I would not bow to pissants with no real experience. Worked out well, since I was finally offered a significant buy out to leave then alone

Since your job is bothering you so much, maybe it is time to actively seek some other position?

Oh My I am so sorry that you are in this situation. OI know the feeling and after 15 years I bailed out. I loved what I did but the company was determined to undermine all the goodness. Even the customers saw it. Best job was a surgical practice front office coordinator, scheduling surgery and helping patients through the myriad side chutes of their illness. Found a "funny" to share:

"You think your job sucks? Let me tell you about the people I work with.
First, there's this supermodel wanna-be chick. Ok, I'll admit, she's pretty hot, but damn she is completely useless. The girl is constantly fixing her hair or putting on her makeup. She is extremely self centered and never considers the needs of anyone other than herself. She is dumber than a box of rocks and I find it surprising that she has enough brain power to breathe.
The next chick is exactly the opposite- she might even be one of the smartest girls on the planet. She has endless career opportunities but she's still here with us. She is a zero on a scale of 1 to 10. I doubt she even showers, much less shaves her "womanly" parts. I think she might be a lesbian, because every time we drive past the hardware store she moans like a cat in heat.
But the jewel of the crowd has got to be the fucking stoner. And this guy is more than just your average pothead. The guy is baked before he comes to work, after work, and even during work. He probably hasn't been sober any time in the last 10 years, and he's only 22. He dresses like a beatnik throwback from the 1960's, and, to make things worse, brings his fucking giant dog to work. Every fucking day I have to look at this huge Great Dane walking around half stoned from the second-hand smoke. Hell, sometimes I even think it's trying to talk with its constant bellowing. Also, both of them are constantly hungry, requiring multiple stops to McDonald's and Burger King every single fucking day.
Anyways, I drive these fucktards around in my van and we solve mysteries and shit."

I never really had a job I didn't like but my best job is minding the grandkids now....I get to unleash my inner child....go to the beach in the summer, Disney films in the school holidays (Beauty and the Beast next week lol) and generally grow old disgracefully!

I guess the job that put me under the most pressure was meeting Revenue deadlines when I was a Probate and Tax Consultant.
