Sitting on the always glitchy IM. A woman initiates a chat with me. I respond, only FuckBookHookups blocks my response, saying that I have to spend points to chat. Yes. I ran out of my 3 free initiate chats per day, but I am not initiating it, she is ...

Boy am I also glad that FuckBookHookups took away my thousands of points that I had accumulated through friends, and this long standing blog.

Just, ugh.

* edit * My wife tipped me 200 points so I could respond. Strange. I only received 160, and a message that I should message my wife and thank her for the tip ... something that would have used up the remaining points that she sent me. This just seems like a real desperate money grab.

I do not have the slightest clue. They also removed every testimonial that I was given, and deleted several of my blog blings.

 from my experiences, for tip, site always keeps 20% of what ever it was given...so if your wife tipped you 200, you should receive 160...

and for gift, site even keeps 50%!!! so if someone gave me gift for 50 points, i only received 25 points...wow...really...

only way to get away with it, is tip during cam. so if you are on cam, broadcasting, and your wife tips you 200 points, you should get the face value as 200 points.

that's how i remember, but correct me if i am wrong...

 i got to add one more thing...well...one time this is what happened...

i tipped a male cammer one time, and he did not received it, although the points were deducted from my end...i guess this was because he was a "STANDARD" member...

i complained to the site, but they never did anything...i never get the points back...and he never get the points from me...

so i guess things change when you are a standard member...you know the site wanna give absolutely NOTHING to nonpaying members...

My wife mentioned that all of her points and testimonials were also removed. Perhaps it is because we were inactive for so long.

I do not know, but I do know that customer service tends to be a joke, especially to standard members.

Thank you for the suggestion though.

 Your experience is exactly the reason I will not be a Gold member again. They make you pay and then still have to be overly dictorial about what you can and cannot do, who you can and cannot talk to AND what you can and cannot say! Here you are providing literature for their members to read and you get treated like a pile of shit. All I can say is try not to let it bother you too much and enjoy what you can of this site. Now I'm gonna read some of your blogs

Thank you for the information. I have never been a gold member, so I had always assumed that gold was treated much better. That surprises me that they would still limit gold members, you are literally keeping them in business.

 "This is working as designed" was the response I got. I too questioned their use of the word "initiated" when I also replied to an IM I was sent.

Sure it's their site so their rules and they can do what they like, but their definition of those rules and the implementation of the rules are often completely different.

So true! I tend to expect, of all things, a BUSINESS to use the correct grammar and verbiage, and then to follow their own rules. When a business follows rules that are different than what they state, it truly irritates me.

I fully understand. At the start, age seems to be a big filter; however, I have recognized that it is not that big of a thing. There are some older members that definitely look hot as hell, and there are some younger members that look ... worn ...

In the end, it is personality that is the best filter, which is something that is very hard for the site to filter. You, sir, have a great personality in my opinion.
