They were predicting it would. A cold front moving down from Canada and a warm front coming up from the south. We didn't get the high winds they said we would though, not yesterday at least. They are still calling for them, along with more of the white stuff for us today. I thought I'd have been outside yesterday all day long. But because we didn't get what they said we would there was no need to shovel. Just a bit of scraping to get the slush off the walkways, and the boss did that job himself. The other maintenance guy called off "sick" yesterday. It would have been his first time shoveling, at least shoveling here. I think the horror stories the boss was telling him the day before about busting our butts to shovel this place out might have brought on his illness.  Me, I was inside all day. Though I did offer to help the boss scrape, he told me to get to the units that were vacated this past weekend. The one was a blow job..the kind of unit where I can go in and just blow the dust off of things and call it a wrap. It won't even need a full paint job in there, just a few scuff marks on the walls to touch up and It'll be good to show. The other unit will take more time to do as I'm still not finished in there. I think the stove might be a total loss. I sprayed it down with oven cleaner and let it sit over night. But I really don't think it'll come clean. We have a good stove over in one of the tree bedroom units that is getting an up grade ( they'll be putting stainless steel stoves in there when they are done with it ) we can swap it out with with that one if this one doesn't come clean. I'll make mention of the swap to the boss see how it flies with him. I would beat having to order a new stove for this unit though, and the owners are riding his butt about his spending so... Aside from the stove the place isn't really that bad. Junk left behind for sure. That always happens when people move out. Some food stuffs left in the cabinets beer in the fridge, I toss what is opened and box up the rest in case they come back for it. ( they never do ) The couch that they beat to shit and left behind because it was too heavy to move. The only other thing bad about the place was the shower surround. We put a new one on before the last tenant moved in, but... It looks like the old tile surround is coming off that the new surround was attached to. So it's a full gut for that, shame too as the new surround is still in great shape and would have been an easy clean to do. Now it's junk and will be ripped out with the old tile surround. Can't save it because when you pull it off to get what's behind it the plastic surround gets trashed. Well, think I'll jump in the shower now...
