It's human nature to feel this way. What you want to do is your coase. Yes in the back of every head is your past. Your parents tell you right from wrong. It's up to you to figure it out. As long as you hurt no one or yourself You do what you want What you need. You may change some day that's up to you. We all change with time. Hope you find your way xoxoxox Thomas. You need to always ask yourself what YOU want, not what other people want. Statistically, 92% of the kinkiest people are always in the most conservative environments. For example, the highest porn consumers in the United states are in Utah.....hello Mormons! So, don't be hard on yourself, let yourself be human and live like a human. Safely of course!

The voice only serves to tell you to be careful. At 50, what your mother thinks of your sexual choices is irrelevant. We all have needs, desires and lusts. The voice should be telling you not to do something you know is foolish, just that. Listen to the voice when it speaks, but after the fact, let it howl into the wind - life is too short for recriminations. The only voice that counts is yours.

Sex is one of the few great joys in life and is an important part of the human experience. Relax and enjoy with your mind, body, and spirit. It's not just a southern thing, sex shaming is a Puritan American thing. Being ashamed of your body and of sex is what was taught by the hyper-religious settlers of America and is still deeply ingrained into those 'societal norms' you mentioned. Not only is it an archaic way of thinking, it is also harmful towards a person's good mental health and positive self image. Love yourself, love sex, love life!
