Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

I’m curious as whether anyone here has seen “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood” and what they thought of it.
One reason I’m curious is I “grew up” in and around there. Once Upon a Time… I was born in Hollywood at a hospital, a bright blue building, which is now semi-infamous as being owned by a “religious” cult. When I was older, in the 70s and 80s, I worked in and around the movie business. I had a jobs that were part of the movie industry. Also, when I was between jobs I would work with a friend did credits work (as a gopher) and/or as an extra (relatively easy and food). I am in the credits of a Dolph Lundgren movie (The Punisher). I am disguised (a hood covers my – I’m not pretty enough for Hollywood) as a thief and I die within the first minute of the movie as the credits begin. I’m also in the crowds in “Electric Horseman” and “The Fan”. Anyhow . . .
The other reason I’m curious is I’m not a fan of Quentin Tarantino. The movies I’ve seen of his are a bit too bloody for my tastes. However, if this isn’t bloody I may check it .

Most every Sunday a citizen of this Blog-o-sphere gives us a Musical Quiz consisting of ten (1.0) questions based on his vast knowledge of ROCK and ROLL music. citizen4722 He then forces us to wait a week to find out if our paltry answers are correct. But *pause for effect* . . .
This week we have been duped by a suspicious duplicate of citizen *dun, dun dun* ( a suspenseful and musical interlude). This week we were quizzed on Classical Music. Not "classic rock" like Led Zeppelin, or the Eagles but *pause for effect* . . . Chopin, Brahms, Sir Edward Elgar (no relation to Edgar Winter) and other long haired musicians. Clearly NOT a quiz Citizen would post up. *emoji for effect*
Obviously Citizen has been kidnapped and a dastardly imposter has taken his place. *dun, dun dun* but *pause for effect* . . . As yet no ransom blog has been posted, but *pause for effect* . . . stay tuned *rim shot* for effect . . .

No not on me, or in the time space continuum, in the fabric of A*F*F. I’ll ‘splain.
I opened my email this AM and found a message titled “Precious One”. OK, so it’s obviously for me 
It is from a address and wasn’t caught by the spam filter. The message read . . .
“My name is Faustina 35 single with no and never been married. Im 5.7 ft 5 Ibs. I will like us to be friends. I got your email address from FuckBookHookups.com while reading the little you had to say about your self. Below are some pics of me and i hope you like them. I will be awaiting your response.”
There are a few things of interest here:
1. She claims to have gotten my email address from FuckBookHookups. This is interesting because my address is not posted where any member can see it. So how, and / or why, did she get it?
2. There is none of the usual formatting or look of a typical A*F*F marketing message.
3. While the spelling and grammar are a bit off it isn’t as bad as the scam messages usually are.
So what is this? Yes it is most likely some sort of spam/scam. But from whom and more importantly . . . how did they actually get my address? I didn’t contact this person as she is outside my general age range. My first thought is they got my address from one of several data breaches over the past 5 years or so since I’ve been here.
My first question to y’all is have any of you recently received an unsolicited offsite message similar to this?

Desperately Seeking . . .

No, not Susan, c’mon this is a sex site why would I consider finding a woman for sex HERE? Sheesh! And yeah, it really isn’t desperately either. It’s more like a strong want, a very strong want . . . hummm . . . does kinda sound like sex huh?  Ahhh, but it is seeking. Annnywhose . . .
My post regarding seeking a race car You Dont Call You Dont Write got a bit more response than I thought it might. Very cool y’all. In fact it generated at least 1 potential lead. Leads are helpful because finding what I want hasn’t been easy. I’ve scoured the race car classifieds (very few suitable already built cars), and Craigslist (mostly for a car I would build from scratch) not many in AZ. I have come across 2 built cars so far, but far away (PA and IA), I wouldn’t mind a road trip. Careful AFFers I may be comin your way .
That is the PA car - it got sold. Ad was asking $1000, damn good deal.
The IA car’s owners are divorcing, he cheated and ran off with the other (hummm, sex again). They are asking $2000 but I think I could get it for $00. There is a car in Phoenix, a Chevy Cobalt, the price is about right ($00) for what it is, but it would be a build from scratch – that is a lot of work, and time.

Part of the problem with finding a good build candidate is I have rules to meet and then my own preferences. Hummm, that kinda sounds like . . . sex don’t it? Rules wise it has to be: ‘front wheel drive (FWD not FW , a “compact” car, 4 cylinder engine. No station wagons, convertibles or 2 seat sport cars allowed, no Honda CRX’. Then, ‘no turbo charged, super charged, rotary engines, or engines utilizing variable cam-timing’. This eliminates a lot of cars.
Then my preferences: manual transmission. 2 doors (even stripped 4 door cars weight more), running driving and stopping, no frame damage. And, I would like a manufacturer that is still in existence so I can try to wrangle some form of sponsorship. So Eagle, Pontiac and Saturn are .
Based on what is left over I did some calculations (horsepower to weight specifically) and found the following possibilities with a fairly good hp/wt ratio: Dodge Neon (95 – 99), Dodge Avenger (95 – 2000), Mitsubishi Eclipse, Chevy Cobalt.
But . . . Saturday I came across 2 “groups” on (which I hate) where pretty much the type of race cars I’m looking for are listed. I’ve contacted about a dozen. They seem to be mostly in the Mid-West (especially Iowa) and a few in/around Texas. So we shall see what comes of those.

You Don’t Call You Don’t Write

That’s what people say when you haven’t called or written in a long time. Well I can’t call most of y’all, but I might if I could . Far as writing goes . . . yeah I haven’t and that was pointed to several times when I announced the return of BiggLaLa. FYI, that post was all about her so if you talked about me there BL gonna git ya.
So, even though I don’t really “owe” any explanations you’re gonna get some. There are 3 reasons; the first 2 are kinda dull. 1. A lack of motivation. Being ‘out in the sticks’ so to speak there are few local women on these sites, so the motivation to be here is mostly waiting  for an interesting local woman, or more, to pop up here. 2. My computer is approaching the end of its useful life. I had someone do remote ‘CPR’ and it is effectively terminal (pun intended).
Now, the third reason – I’ve been on other sites. Yes you read that right I’ve been cheating on A*F*F. I’ve been looking at other sites. Now, honey(s) before you get all upset let me explain. They aren’t naked/girlie/sex sites. But they are related to an addiction I have, just not the sex one. Hummm . . . perhaps I should ‘splain further.
If you’ve read my posts may have figured out, that I’m a race driving addict. I had 4 race cars at the beginning of this year and had one on CL, off and on, for the last few years. A few months ago I finally sold that car. Running that car (a Mustang) took a ton of effort beginning with the fact that the closest track it was suited for is a 400+ mile round trip. Leaving the track at 1 AM meant I wouldn’t get home till about 5 AM, after a race where the temps could be over 0 degrees. To really get to tracks that a decent purse I would have had to to Texas or California. “So what” you say.
Well, in talking to the guy who bought the Mustang I found that a local-ish dirt track (only 1 hour away) is running a of cars that suits the types of cars I like to build and drive. I could not run the Mustang there. So I went there; checked things , and I got the whiff of race fuel in – it does smell like victory . So, the other sites I’ve been scrounging around on are ones where race cars are sold and technical info is obtained. The tech info will be very important because I have 2 options for having a competitive car; an already built car and make it better (something I’ve done quite well). Or build up a car from a street car which takes a lot of time and . My preference is an already built car – that option tends to be less expensive if they were built decently. But there has been a problem. Just like finding local women finding a comparable race car locally has been a no go. In fact I’m talking to owners in Texas, Iowa and PA.

I don’t always HNW, but when I do . . .
I don’t do it half assed.
My first ever contribution to HNW, on 4/20/20, was “Chairs” [post 386] . Back then I had a lot less followers and some of them are no longer active here  . For those who are newer followers I am resurrecting the concept of post.
I should actually provide a newer pic, the one you see is from 20, but is the subject of another post I’ve been contemplating. I really hate taking selfies, I even hate the term selfie.

Thinking Outside The Box A Slightly Different Approach

So I’m thinking outside the box so I can eventually get . . . inside a box – ooohhh the irony of it all. 
There are a couple problems with living out in BFE when you’re on inter/web/nets dating sites; 1) there are few women around here who are on this site and they are either not interested in older guys (most local women on this site are in their 30s or 40s), or are actually part of a couple, 2) women get inundated with messages etc and may end up not responding to anyone. Those also happen to be 2 of the reasons why I don’t for these site(s). Also, there are generally more things to do, dating wise, in bigger cities and I do go to events in the big city here in AZ.
Given situation expanding outside my local area seems like an option I should at least explore. But . . . ‘getting noticed’, since I’m not even close to the city, does not happen by itself. So a different approach seems like it would/could be useful in deepening the “talent pool”.
I’ve seen on some women’s Status and/or Intro lines they put out there they will be in X-town on xx-date. While may work well for women, probably not-so-much for a guy. Also, being a chronologically advanced guy doesn’t bode well for approach either. But . . .
Would an event I’m thinking of going to draw eyes/attention/interest in my direction? For instance what if I put in my Status and/or Intro lines; “Looking for a Lady Companion for X-event. Inquire within.” It would be something I have not seen much. But, I would still need to get it seen by the women in the big city.
OK you crazy wadda ya think? Does I gots sumthin or be I kwazy?  Any tweaks to my idea?

The problem being a stranger contacting you by email and requesting payment to not expose your presence here to family or friends. Something the same or similar to what happened to my buddy LindoBoy as described [post 4187669] . The timeline being since the beginning of 2019.
One reason I'm asking is because I know someone else who has. I'm not at a point to say there is something wide spread happening - just gathering information at this point.
