A New Wrinkle
A New Wrinkle No not on me, or in the time space continuum, in the fabric of A*F*F. I’ll ‘splain. I opened my email this AM and found a message titled “Precious One”. OK, so it’s obviously for me ![]() It is from a address and wasn’t caught by the spam filter. The message read . . . “My name is Faustina 35 single with no and never been married. Im 5.7 ft 5 Ibs. I will like us to be friends. I got your email address from FuckBookHookups.com while reading the little you had to say about your self. Below are some pics of me and i hope you like them. I will be awaiting your response.” There are a few things of interest here: 1. She claims to have gotten my email address from FuckBookHookups. This is interesting because my address is not posted where any member can see it. So how, and / or why, did she get it? 2. There is none of the usual formatting or look of a typical A*F*F marketing message. 3. While the spelling and grammar are a bit off it isn’t as bad as the scam messages usually are. So what is this? Yes it is most likely some sort of spam/scam. But from whom and more importantly . . . how did they actually get my address? I didn’t contact this person as she is outside my general age range. My first thought is they got my address from one of several data breaches over the past 5 years or so since I’ve been here. My first question to y’all is have any of you recently received an unsolicited offsite message similar to this? When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. |

None recently. I would contact FuckBookHookups and send them a copy of everything. Something smells on this one. They seem to still target the older fellow. A few years ago it was completely out of control. FuckBookHookups put a stop to it and it seems to be starting back up again. hugs V Become a blog watcher sweet_vm

I get messages on IM from dominant Welsh women ![]() I wouldn't mind but there's never any profile let alone photo. The fact that the message always end with a geemail addy is what gives the spam game away. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Hi KJ, this person likely got my email address via the h@cked A*F*F data that is 'out there'. Glad you keep your stuff safe. ![]() When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

There is an option on Hotmail that lets you see recent activity under security features. I know of people who been able to make deals with different truckers etc to have items transported at nominal fees because basically the truck is empty. But yes alas distance is also an issue in commerce, not just FuckBookHookups... The problem with having the car trucked to me is I won't be able to actually see/touch the car in person, or wave cash as part of the "negotiating" process. Yeah, distance often sucks. Unlikely to be connected to the Various Inc sites, but I've read of people receiving those "We have installed tracking software on your device, we've been watching you play with yourself on cam, you have 48 hours to send us some bitcoin before we post videos of you to all your friends" types of messages. Bit frightening to some. Yesterday I got a message through the IM on here which started, "I'm just using you to get to your dad". ![]() When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. Our personal info and contact data is a valued commodity now. So people will steal it, or sell it if we give it to them. Those we give it to do an incompetent job of protecting it so it is easy for some to steal. Curious as to how you figured out the attempts to log in from IP's in China, Japan etc. Good thought on Canadian cars. Thank you. My travel boundaries, dues to cost and time, are the Mississippi River to the east not sure of a northern one right now. A lot of cars in the Midwest. No unsolicited off site emails, but when scammers start messaging me, I message back, and watch their English grow worse and worse with each message. ![]() When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

On the weekend I got an email from a company I sometimes order online from. They said they could find no record of the item I am missing from my order. It showed my email inquiry. I have not ordered from them in a year. So I did some checking, changed my passwords and then I looked my recent activity on email account. You can check to see failed attempts to log into my account. I had failed attempts to log in from IP's in China, Japan and Thailand. Scary stuff out there.... By the way - did you think of looking for a car in Canada - your dollar has more power here and you can arrange transport a lot of times...just a thought Curious as to how you figured out the attempts to log in from IP's in China, Japan etc. Good thought on Canadian cars. maybe from the leak a few years back??? i don't remember, but a while back, another blog post about the similar scam/spam mail the person received...supposedly, the blacklist is still up for grab in the dark web...something like that... ![]() When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. Interesting email indeed, and I am thinking its part of a scam going on here on the site as your not the first man who has said something about this. I know years ago the site hadn't allowed this to go on, I wish they would stop it as it's really getting out of control. I wish a nice sexy lady from the site would contact you for real and you two could get together.. I hope your day is a good one.. ![]() When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. But then they would have to KNOW you are on FuckBookHookups, or you wouldn't know what they are talking about! ![]() When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Yes, I have received EMs like that. I guessed they where on FuckBookHookups but got my EM from some other source. They use FuckBookHookups reference to make it look more legit! When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

I can't recall of late of getting a similar message, Red, but it is scary to think that somehow they did get your address from A.F.F. Very scary indeed. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
